Real-Time Generative Company
Shader specializes in creating lifelike virtual characters with advanced animations, effects, filters, and lenses. With Shader, users can bring any movie, game, or music character into real-time for video calls or live streams in just a couple of minutes. It functions as a "generative mechanic discovery engine," building a highly observable product ecosystem that allows for rapid testing, validation, and refinement of product hypotheses to create compelling generative tools.
Shader is backed by Betaworks, Greycroft, Mozilla Ventures, Differential Ventures, OnDeck, and Pablo Stanley (Kleiner Perkins Scout). Founded in 2022 by former Snap Design Lead Darya Sesitskaya and Orest Kupyn (PhD in Computer Vision from Oxford), Shader later welcomed Greg Karlin, former Instagram Monetization Lead, to the team.
Last year, the team raised a $610k Pre-Seed on an uncapped SAFE.
You will be one of the founding members of a new engineering team focused on building social creation product ~ iOS version. You will take ownership around defining, planning, and crafting the overall system architectures for key product areas and driving end-to-end feature development.
To succeed in this role, you must be a strong programmer and a creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, working across teams and organizations. In addition to engineering excellence, you should have experience in iOS development specifically, have a keen eye for the user experience, and be able to create forward looking, scalable architecture designs from evolving feature requirements.
